Putu Adi Pratama is 6years old. He lives in Kalianget Village (15 minutes West of Lovina) with his Mother, Father, and young sister. He was born 2 months premature with Cerebral Palsy. (Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that permanently affects body movement, muscle coordination, and balance. Muscle spasms and Epilepsy are also common with Cerebral palsy). Although unable to speak, Putu can hear everything, and understands what is going on around him. He is a very happy little boy with a wonderful smile. He will be affected by this condition his whole life.
Global Village Foundation have been assisting Putu and his family since December 2014. It brings Putu to Singaraja for therapy when required, and medical assessments with a Child Specialist every six months at a Singaraja hospital GVF pays for those assessments, and also pays each month for Putu’s essential Epilepsy medicines.
In October of 2015 GVF was able to present to Putu Adi Pratama, a new Specially adapted Wheelchair for his needs. A Global Village project Co-ordinator visits Putu and his family at least once a month, and the family are also able to call on the Global Village Foundation for support at anytime when medical or other needs arise.
