On Tuesday 23rd January, the GVF team travelled east from Lovina to Bondalam, Tejakula, and Sembirentang Villages to deliver Aid to the Mount Agung Evacuee camps based there. Along the way the team made a small detour to deliver a brand new wheelchair to this young man. His name is Made Newuarta. He lives with his Mother in the small village of Banjar Dinas Suci, in Tejakula. He has been disabled his whole life, and this is the first wheelchair he has ever had in his life of 22 years. He is mentally 100%. He has never been to school but is keen to learn. We will deliver a recycled laptop computer to him in the next couple of weeks, along with Drawing & Art materials, which will provide him with the mental stimulation he is craving. If there is anybody in the North Bali area with an old Computer desk they no longer need/use, and willing to donate to young Made. The Global team would be more than happy to collect it from you. Please contact us through our contact page, or call in to the Global Village Kafe in Lovina. Thank you
