Andy is a successful New Zealand Businessman and lifelong Humanitarian. With nearly 40 years’ experience in the Tourism & Hospitality Industry, Andy has been involved with Tourism projects in Australia, New Zealand, the UK & the US.

An avid traveller, he has visited more than 60 countries, travelling many of them by Motorcycle. During his travels he has established humanitarian projects in Zimbabwe, Malawi, India, and Indonesia. He has been a regular visitor to Bali since 1983, during which time he has developed a long standing and very deep respect for the Balinese people and culture. After the devastating Earthquakes in Christchurch New Zealand in 2011 & 2012, his home base, he decided to take time out (semi-retire) to establish with Putu Januarta, the Global Village Foundation in Bali.  

Putu is from Rendang, Karangasem in East Bali.  From a very poor farming family, his parents sacrificed much to ensure Putu received a good Education. After leaving school Putu trained as a Reflexologist , and practiced Reflexology for a number of years in Denpasar

A chance meeting in Denpasar 2003, and Putu became Andy’s ‘Denpasar’ Guide/Agent during one of his regular business trips to Bali.

In 2010 Putu was able to visit the UK for 6 months, to work alongside Andy in one of his hospitality businesses, and in 2011 Putu was also able to visit Australia & New Zealand for 2 months on a Business trip with Andy. It was during this trip to New Zealand that the joint idea for the Global Village Foundation Bali emerged.

Rudi comes from the small Village of Kalanganjar, in North Bali, the eldest son of Rice Farmers. At school he studied Music, and Balinese Culture. He is a talented Gamelan musician, and a gifted singer, performing regularly with the Kalanganjar Gamelan Orchestra at Ceremonies & Special occasions.  Before joining the Global Team in June 2016, he spent 3 years working in South Bali, in Retail & Foreign Exchange. In his spare time he is a  keen fisherman, and an experienced Scuba Diver

Brad has seen more World Poverty than most. An avid Traveler & Photographer in the less ‘travelled’ parts of the World, his adventures have taken him overland through Syria, Pakistan, Iran, Nepal, Ethiopia, & Lebanon to name just a few. A caring Humanitarian based in Perth, Western Australia, Brad has been very generous in his sponsorship of the Global Village Foundation assisting the poor & disabled of Bali. A regular visitor to Bali, Brad continues to be a strong supporter of all GVF projects.
